Commercial
Helicopters (Aust) Pty Ltd, as part of our overall service, can
utilize either of 3 ground support vehicles to supply fuel to
the choppers wherever they happen to go.
A
current model Landcruiser 4x4 and trailer combination with fuel
capacity of 3000 litres Jet A1 equipped with Aviation approved
filtration systems ( giving 30 hrs flying time) can follow aircraft.
This dispenses with the need to manage and dispose of large numbers
of non-returnable drums.
Commercial
Helicopters also have available a 10 000lt bulk fuel truck to
support operations. All vehicles have appropriate EPA licences.
Please
note: Trained ground crew with Bulk Dangerous Goods Licence support
our refuelling vehicles. As we specialise in this type of work
we are the best equipped with regards to remote refuelling services.

systems |

Commercial
Helicopters (Aust) Pty Ltd use the "Mapmaster" GPS System. This
system is capable of logging all flights and additional information.
A
computer is fitted in the helicopter and information can be entered
either by the pilot or observer simply by pressing the appropriate
keys.
Each
required location can be logged by the GPS system, and specific
symbols can be used to provide a legend for easy reference.
Also
of interest; 'No Fly Zones' can be programmed on the screen to
eliminate the chance of flying in the wrong location.
All
information that needs to be gathered can be downloaded and printed
on transparencies for direct correlation with relevant maps.

Commercial
Helicopters are an Australian based company predominantly providing
services to Rural and Government clients. In 2002 Commercial Helicopters
set about sourcing a sustainable future in the industry by getting
serious about environmental issues. This included the implementation
of an assured Environmental Management System or EMS, committing
ourselves to the prevention of environmental pollution.
Commercial
Helicopters undertake detailed risk assessments of all our operations.
Resulting from these assessments are operational controls that
utilise the latest environmental technology to manage operations
ranging from aerial spraying to waste management The commitment
to our EMS means the only possible outcome is the continual improvement
of our valued environmental performance.
Under
the Commercial Helicopters EMS, Commercial Helicopters comply
with and exceed all legal and contractual obligations delivering
the client a high quality service with a high degree of due diligence.
All employees are aware of, trained in and must comply with our
EMS program.
Commercial
Helicopters believe communication is a core component of the management
system, both internally and externally. The company actively promotes
employee and client contributions towards shaping our EMS. Working

Commercial
Helicopters (Aust) Pty Ltd has no record of a lost time workplace
injury since its inception as an entity. The company has strict
policy with regard to safety.
Health
and Safety Overview:
Commercial Helicopters is an industry leader in the development
and utilisation of health and safety programs.
Commercial
Helicopters has initiated a health and safety program using the
Environmental Management System (EMS) we have installed in order
to become ISO 14001 accredited. This ISO standard includes all
aspects of the more common ISO 9001, but also includes environmental
management procedures, and more intensive company quality requirements.
All
aspects of safety and health within the operations of Commercial
Helicopters have been addressed through our operational procedures,
risk assessment, and training induction programmes.
These
programs have enabled Commercial Helicopters to ensure each employee
is fully aware of any possible risks associated with each aspect
of the role they play within the company.
Commercial
Helicopters have also initiated an Emergency Preparedness and
Response Plan (EPRP) that ensures that the responsibilities of
all staff in the event of an emergency are clearly defined. This
plan also ensures that all staff are trained to respond to emergencies
and accidents and that the relevant emergency information is available
to them.
