Commercial
Helicopters conducts aerial spraying for private and government
organizations. We are on the preferred operators list for SA &
NSW State Forests.
This
work has taken our helicopter all over Australia from spraying
liquid fertilizer on eucalyptus plantations in Western Australia,
Patterson's Curse in the Fluro Penninsula in South Australia to
Serrated Tussock in central New South Wales.
Helicopters
are generally used in hilly terrain or sensitive areas because
of its manoeuvrability and accurate application of chemicals.

us more or less all over NSW, into southern QLD and some parts of
SA and over various types of terrain including the Great Dividing
Range and Flinders Ranges to desert country in Western NSW and SA. |

| Power
line inspections |
 |
 |
|
Commercial
Helicopters are heavily involved in the patrol of overhead powerlines.
This work consists of annual inspections (generally carried out
prior to the fire season August/September) and emergency call-out
work.
The
helicopter is flown at slow speed (approx 30kts or 50 km/hr) with
a navigator and observer on board. The observer's job is to look
for any faults in the poles and wires. All faults are noted with
photos, co-ordinates, pole number and the type of fault.

| Slingloading
|
 |
 |

From
time to time we are required for slinging loads to remote, hard
to get to places. Some
of the jobs we have conducted are:
- slinging
concrete into the cable car anchor points in the Blue Mountains
near Katoomba
- slinging
equipment such as signs, paving bricks and cement for NPWS.

are a valuable tool in getting around in flood situations and
from time to time our helicopters have been utilized for flood

of major flooding in the Western area of NSW. Some of the jobs
our helicopters were used for:
- Flying
food and supplies into properties
- Checking
of stock to see if they are on high ground and have enough to
eat
- Slinging
in hay for stranded stock
- Mustering
stock to higher ground
- Aerial
inspections to moniter the amounts of water flowing, thus assessing
risks further downstream
